Relativity Taps Terry Curtin as President of Theatrical Marketing
Terry Curtin is joining Relativity Media as president of theatrical marketing, where she will report to CEO Ryan Kavanaugh. She will replace Peter Adee, who announced last week that he is stepping down as head of marketing and distribution.
Curtin is currently co-president of entertainment for the Cimarron Group. Before that, she was CEO/creative director of Intralink Film Graphic Design, following a stint as head of marketing and distribution for Revolution Studios. She has also held publicity and marketing posts at Universal, Disney and Fox.
At Relativity, Curtin will oversee all the planning, strategy and execution of the marketing for Relativity's theatrical releases.
"Ryan Kavanaugh has built Relativity into a company that is innovative and fearless," Curtin said. "I am beyond excited to be joining a studio at which the ambitions are big and the rule book is small. I look forward to partnering with [distribution head] Kyle Davies and to working with the entire marketing team; all of whom have excellent reputations."
Relativity most recently released the Bradley Cooper starrer Limitless. Its upcoming releases include Judy Moody and the NOT Bummer Summer, set for June 10, followed by David R. Ellis' Shark Night 3-D on Sept. 2 and Tarsem Singh's Immortals on Nov. 11.
