Veteran agents Jack Leighton and Hayden Meyer have joined APA, which also has ramped up its talent roster with a slew of new signings. Leighton will continue to work as a literary agent after serving in the same capacity for seven years at Innovative Artists. Meyer joins APA after more than 12 years at UTA, where he was a senior agent in the agency's alternative television division. Meyer will work alongside partner Beth Bohn in APA's alternative television packaging department. "Jack and Hayden are top agents, and we are fortunate that they have joined our agency," APA president and CEO Jim Gosnell said. "They lend a fresh perspective to their areas of expertise and only help to further our literary and alternative television departments." In less than two weeks, the agency has signed eight new clients: Tim Meadows, Gary Dourdan, Sherilyn Fenn, Laura Leighton, Sasha Barrese, Rachel Perry, Nikki Griffin and April Scott. Meadows, who has signed with APA in all areas, recently appeared in the feature film "Benchwarmers." He also is recurring on ABC's "Help Me Help You" and Comedy Central's "The Colbert Report."
