Who says Crime doesn’t pay?
American Crime’s Elvis Nolasco has signed with APA. The actor plays lovesick drug addict Carter Nix on ABC’s new drama, in a performance that THR’s Tim Goodman called “a truly magnetic, incredibly authentic vision of unfiltered love.” Nolasco recently appeared in Spike Lee’s Kickstarter-funded Da Sweet Blood of Jesus and is set for the indie drug gang drama 179th Street, starring Danny Trejo, Michael Pitt and Michael Kenneth Williams. He is managed by Rob Lewis.
A couple of Relevant actors
Paul Dano and Evan Peters have signed with publicity firm Relevant. Dano can currently be seen as the younger version of Brian Wilson in Love & Mercy, the acclaimed biopic of the Beach Boys frontman, while he films the BBC and Weinstein Co. miniseries War and Peace, opposite Cinderella star Lily James. Meanwhile, American Horror Story repertory player Peters followed up the FX anthology’s recently-concluded fourth installment with creepy feature The Lazarus Effect. He’s currently shooting a supporting role in Elvis & Nixon before reprising his Quicksilver mutant role for Fox’s X-Men franchise.
Relevant also has signed Outlander heartthrob Sam Heughan, new Transporter star Ed Skrein and teen actor Josh Wiggins, who THR’s David Rooney said “turned heads” in his acting debut opposite Aaron Paul in the 2014 Sundance drama Hellion.
Agnes B. is in
The Returned’s Agnes Bruckner has signed with PR firm Nicole Miller Agency. The actress currently can be seen as deputy Nikki Banks on A&E’s remake of the French supernatural drama, and will shortly be revealed in a three-episode arc on ABC’s Once Upon a Time. She portrayed Anna Nicole Smith in Lifetime’s 2013 biopic of the late model, and her other TV appearances have included 24, Private Practice and Covert Affairs.
He had 99 Homes and now a new one
99 Homes’ Noah Lomax has signed with UTA. The child actor plays Andrew Garfield’s son in Ramin Bahrani’s well-received drama, following turns as the spawn of Josh Duhamel (in Nicholas Sparks’ Safe Haven) and Gerard Butler (in soccer rom-com Playing for Keeps). His television appearances include Bones, The Middle and a recurring role as young survivor Louis Morales in The Walking Dead.
Now entering The Green Room
Sons of Anarchy’s David Labrava and actress and singer Ali Faulkner have signed with management company The Green Room. Labrava played Happy since the pilot of the FX motorcycle drama (and helped pen the season four episode “Hands”). Faulkner co-starred in Christian music-themed The Song, while her previous credits ironically include the comic horror Bad Kids Go to Hell.
It’s her turn again
Country music star Tanya Tucker has signed with APA Nashville. The platinum recording artist spent the last few years raising her family and is now set to release her first new music since 2009’s My Turn and will be touring in support of the new album. “We are so delighted to be working with Tanya Tucker once again,” APA Nashville svp/partner and head of concerts Steve Lassiter said in a statement. “She is simply one of those artists that is an American original.”
Illustrator Todd Goldman has signed with ICM. The artist is the founder of cheeky retail line David & Goliath and author of books including Boys are Stupid, Throw Rocks at Them and Girls are Weirdos, But They Smell Pretty. A feature adaptation of the former was once in development at Universal, while other projects Goldman has had in development include a TBS animated series with the Wayans brothers called The Black Family and The Potts, an animated pilot from FishBowl Worldwide Media.
Hines and Moore and the Hendersons
Actors Garrett Hines and Jaylen Moore have signed with talent agency Henderson Represents. Hines has a role in the upcoming biopic Trumbo and also will appear in horror thriller South of Hell, which WE tv ordered to series last May. Moore appeared on two episodes of Homeland and will play a rookie cop in the Reese Witherspoon-Sofia Vergara comedy Hot Pursuit, out May 8.
