Another funnyman hops on
David Koechner has joined his Anchorman co-star Will Ferrell at UTA. He follows his CAA agents Jason Heyman and Martin Lesak, who became UTA partners last week as part of the agency shake-up that saw 11 agents and as many as 150 clients defect from CAA to UTA. Koechner has two horror comedies coming up: Paramount’s Scouts vs. Zombies, out this October, and Legendary’s Christmas-themed Krampus.
UTA also has added British actress Gemma Chan. She stars in the upcoming sci-fi drama series Humans, a co-production between the U.K’s Channel 4 and AMC, which picked it up from now-defunct Xbox Entertainment Studios last September. She also will appear in the crime thriller London Fields, starring Amber Heard. Chan appeared in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit and The Double, and her U.K. television credits include Dates, Secret Diary of a Call Girl, Sherlock, The IT Crowd and Doctor Who. She continues to be repped by Independent in the U.K. and Schachter/Brown.

He currently is at work on a heavy metal album that will be released via Metal Blade Records at the end of summer. “I’m at a point in my life where I want to create and produce original content, really expanding my capabilities beyond my comedic background,” Breuer said in a statement. “Rick and his team are the ideal partner to align with as they share that same vision of wanting to take my career to the next level.”
