She’s looking for a mind at work
Hamilton alum Renee Elise Goldsberry has signed with publicity firm 42West. The Tony winner exited her role as Angelica Schuyler last fall and is set to star opposite Joel Kinnaman in Netflix’s 10-episode adaptation of the sci-fi novel Altered Carbon.
42West also has signed Dutch actress Sylvia Hoeks, who will appear stateside this year in Blade Runner 2049.
Una chica con talento
East Los High regular Cinthya Carmona has signed with Innovative. The Miami native, of Colombian and Venezuelan descent, plays Brandie, the Bible-quoting newcomer on season four of the Hulu teen drama. She also is slated to be a series regular on Netflix’s upcoming boarding school drama Greenhouse Academy, and she has made guest appearances on CBS’ Rush Hour and Starz’s Power. Her film credits include the indies Ambushed, Badge of Honor and Skin in the Game.
Trying on Personas
Westwood’s Leonardo Nam has signed with Persona PR. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants alum plays technician Felix on the hit HBO drama.
Persona PR also has signed Certain Women breakout Lily Gladstone, whom THR critic Leslie Felperin praised as an “outstanding discovery” in her Sundance review of the Kelly Reichardt drama. She already has received a slew of wins and nominations for her role as an isolated ranch hand, including Gotham and Independent Spirit nominations.
Written in ink
Best-selling novelist Dean Koontz has signed with Inkwell Management in all areas and Brillstein in film and television. He previously was without agency representation for several years. The Silent Corner, the first installment in a new series about FBI agent Jane Hawk, will be published by Bantam in June, with follow-up The Whispering Room in January 2018. Koontz continues to be represented by attorney Richard Heller at Frankfurt Kurnit.
