And What About Ferguson?

New Girl’s Lamorne Morris has signed with UTA. He was previously with Gersh. As quirky fan-favorite Winston, the actor has been a series regular on the Fox comedy (which has been renewed for a seventh season) since the second episode. Morris will appear on the big screen in the New Line ensemble comedy Game Night, opposite Jason Bateman, Rachel McAdams and Kyle Chandler. His other recent film credits include Netflix’s Sandy Wexler and New Line’s Barbershop: The Next Cut.

WME has signed documentarian Doug Pray in all areas. He most recently served as co-writer alongside Lasse Jarvi and director Allen Hughes on HBO’s Jimmy Iovine-Dr. Dre doc The Defiant Ones. As a director, Pray has tackled a wide range of subjects, including turntablism and DJ culture (2001’s Scratch), independent truck drivers (2007’s Big Rig), advertising and creativity (2009’s Art & Copy) and a certain famous outdoor installation at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (2013’s Levitated Mass). His debut, 1996’s Hype!, about Seattle’s early ‘90s grunge scene, was re-released on Blu-ray and DVD by Shout! Factory on Sept. 29. Pray continues to be repped by Principato-Young.

Anything They Can Do, She Can Do Too

Chloe Domont, currently the only female writer staffed on HBO’s Ballers, has signed with Verve. In addition to directing an episode of the Dwayne Johnson-starring comedy, she also has helmed an episode of USA’s Shooter. Domont continues to be repped by Madhouse and Jackoway Tyerman.

It’s All About the Film

Cinematographer Alan Poon has signed with Gersh. He most recently worked on the Jason Sudeikis and Ed Harris starrer Kodachrome, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and was acquired by Netflix. Poon previously worked with Kodachrome director Mark Raso on 2014’s Copenhagen, and he also shot 2016’s Population Zero with helmers Julian T. Pinder and Adam Levins. Other recent work includes documentary shorts Gatekeeper (directed by Yung Chang) and Nests of Gold, which Poon helmed himself.

3 Arts has hired Magical Elves executive Dunia McNeily as a manager focusing on the unscripted business in its Los Angeles office.

“I’m incredibly honored to join such a well-respected and forward-thinking company,” McNeily said in a statement. “As an industry leader in the space, the opportunities with 3 Arts and its clients are unparalleled and I look forward to applying my unique background to this new role.”

As director of development and head of digital and branded content at Magical Elves, McNeily developed TV and digital series featuring new media stars such as Netflix’s Chasing Cameron and YouTube RED’s Lindsey Stirling: Brave Enough, as well as Nickelodeon’s All In With Cam Newton, CNBC’s Cleveland Hustles and the upcoming Top Chef Jr., which will be available on NBCUniversal’s rebranded Universal Kids. Prior to that, she was manager of development and original programming at E!.

“We are thrilled to have Dunia join 3 Arts,” partner Michael Rotenberg said in a statement. “Dunia has had a long and successful history dealing with talent, and she has terrific relationships with producers and buyers in the unscripted space. We know she will make a great manager and expand our clients’ abilities to create and work in the unscripted and digital spaces.”
