Resolution Signs 'Ben-Hur' Remake Writer (Exclusive)

Keith Clarke also co-wrote the 2010 Colin Farrell-Ed Harris drama "The Way Back."

Resolution has signed screenwriter Keith Clarke.

Clarke co-wrote with Peter Weir the filmmaker’s 2010 Colin Farrell-Ed Harris drama The Way Back and is currently generating heat in Hollywood for writing a new take on Ben-Hur.

Clarke is serving as an executive producer on the MGM project, which adapts Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ, a 1880 novel by Lew Wallace. Timur Bekmambetov is in negotiations to direct. Clarke's producing partner, Joni Levin, will
produce with Sean Daniel.

Clarke and Levin's Point Blank Productions is presently working with
Lasse Hallstrom to helm Tom’s Dad, from a script written by Clarke.

And Clarke is wrapping up a production rewrite on a period action movie titled Outcast, which will star Nicolas Cage and Hayden Christensen.

Clarke remains repped by manager D.J. Talbot.
