Revolution Studios has purchased Cold Spring Pictures' motion picture library, which includes eight films, one of which is 2009's Up in the Air, starring George Clooney. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Cold Spring Pictures was created in 2006 as a production facility to co-finance motion pictures produced by Ivan Reitman and Tom Pollock's The Montecito Picture Company. Its titles, in which Paramount retains 50 percent ownership, include Disturbia, Up in the Air, Road Trip: Beer Pong, Hotel for Dogs and The Uninvited; plus, No Strings Attached, in which Fox has 50 percent ownership, and two more films, Post Grad and Hitchcock.

"Cold Spring’s titles offer an incredible variety of genres and styles – a perfect complement to the kinds of films Revolution has in our library," chief operating officer Scott Hemming said. "With everything from teen comedies to performances by Academy Award-winning actors, it really gives us quite a lot to offer."

Revolution Studios, which has been operated by CEO Vince Totino and Hemming since 2014, has a library that includes 46 films originally produced by Revolution, and another 64 titles from Morgan Creek International.
