Originally produced by a group of Tampere-based filmmakers, "Star Wreck" has become the most-watched Finnish film in history, with more than 8 million viewers worldwide.
Revolver is planning to release the DVD here in May for the project, which already has been released on DVD in Scandinavia by Universal Pictures and in Japan by Medallion Media Co.
The next film from the "Star Wreck" team, "Iron Sky," is a satirical science fiction comedy about Nazis on the moon in 2018.
Budgeted at 4 million euros, "Iron Sky" is produced by Blind Spot Pictures and co-produced by 27 Films Production in Germany.
