Ryan Reynolds and Kristen Stewart are joining Jesse Eisenberg in "Adventureland," being directed by Greg Mottola. Miramax and Sidney Kimmel Entertainment are teaming with indie shingle This Is That for the coming-of-age comedy.

Written by Mottola, the 1987-set story follows an uptight recent college grad (Eisenberg) who is forced to take a degrading minimum-wage job at the local amusement park when he realizes he can't afford his dream European tour. The experience helps him to loosen up a bit as he finds first love, forms new friendships and emerges with a newfound sense of maturity just in time to enter the real world in the fall.

Reynolds will play an aspiring rock star and the icon of cool to all the kids working at the park. Stewart will play the romantic lead, a tomboy who also works at the park.

Principal photography is scheduled to begin next month in Pittsburgh.

Ted Hope and Anne Carey of This Is That and Sidney Kimmel are producers. William Horberg and Bruce Toll are executive producers.

Mike Falbo and Lauren Levy are overseeing for Miramax.

Reynolds, last seen starring in Joe Carnahan's "Smokin' Aces," will next be seen in "Definitely, Maybe" opposite Rachel Weisz and Abigail Breslin. He is repped by UTA and Sloane Offer Weber & Dern.

Stewart will next be seen in Sean Penn's "Into the Wild" and "Southland Tales." She is repped by Gersh.
