Richard Linklater's 'Everybody Wants Some' Trailer Debuts
The director also wrote the script for the film that centers on a college baseball team.
Richard Linklater already made a film that embodied the 1970s with Dazed and Confused. The new trailer for Everybody Wants Some sees the Boyhood director taking on a new decade: the '80s.
Centered on a college baseball team, the trailer focuses on freshman Jake (Glee's Blake Jenner) as he navigates his relationship with his teammates and fellow co-eds. Also seen the in the spot is Ryan Guzman, Wyatt Russell and Tyler Hoechlin.
The trailer consists of a series of vignettes featuring house parties, bar fights, Cotton Eyed Joe, illicit drug use, young love and general scenes of male bonding.
Linklater also wrote the script for the film that will have its world premiere in March at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin, Texas, the director's hometown. Everybody Wants Some is set hit theaters in April.
