Dreyfus is a veteran lit agent who spent the last 13 years at UTA (Ever After scribe Dana Stevens and Blades of Glory co-writer Craig Cox were among her clients). Before that she worked at ICM for eight years and started at InterTalent agency.

"Her impeccable taste in material and great relationships across the creative community will be key assets as we establish and expand our Will Packer Productions brand," said Packer in making the announcement. "Additionally, she shares my passion for quality commercial material."

Said UTA's managing director and head of the motion picture literary department David Kramer: "Barbara has been a tremendous colleague, agent and friend for more than a decade, and we are excited to continue to work closely with her in supporting Will's extraordinary vision and the rapid growth of Will Packer Productions."

Dreyfus' clients will continue to be represented by their UTA agent teams.

Packer's banner also has a two-year deal with Universal Television, overseen by his head of TV Korin D. Huggins.

Ride Along opened to more than $48 million over the long Martin Luther King Jr. Day weekend. Packer also produced Stomp the Yard, Takers, Obsessed and Think Like a Man. Among his movies due to open in 2014 are About Last Night, starring Michael Ealy, Regina Hall, Hart and Joy Bryant; the thriller No Good Deed, starring Idris Elba and Taraji P. Henson; and the sequel Think Like a Man Too. Packer also just wrapped Screen Gems' The Wedding Ringer, starring Josh Gad and Hart, set for a 2015 release.

Will Packer Productions is repped by UTA and attorney Matt Johnson at Ziffren Brittenham.
