Rihanna to Present Next Fenty x Puma Collection at Paris Fashion Week (Report)
Instead of a runway show during New York Fashion Week, there will be pop-ups held at Bergdorf Goodman and Footlocker's new retail concept Six:02.
Rihanna is reportedly taking her next Fenty by Rihanna runway show to Paris Fashion Week.
The performer debuted her fall collaboration with Puma during New York Fashion Week in February, enlisting supermodels Gigi and Bella Hadid to showcase her street-style creations on the runway. Naomi Campbell, Anna Wintour and Pete Wentz were among those in the front row. Now the "Needed Me" singer is said to be opting out of NYFW in exchange for PFW, reports WWD. Pret-a-Reporter has reached out to Fenty for comment.
Although the brand will not be showing in New York, it will still have a presence in the Big Apple before NYFW officially kicks off Sept. 8. RiRi's label will host pop-up shops at Bergdorf Goodman and Footlocker’s new retail concept Six:02 on Sept. 6 before going wide with distribution the following day, according to the fashion trade. Given how quickly her Fenty trainers, creepers and slides tend to sell out, it's likely that her pop-ups also will create a shopping frenzy among fans.
RiRi's fall Fenty designs were most recently modeled by Campbell for Vogue Italia.
Since being named the creative director of Puma, Rihanna has helped increase sales at the German athletic company. In the first quarter of the year, Puma's net profit was up 4 percent, with footwear sales up 3.7 percent.
