Rob Corddry will host Key Art nods
The Key Art Awards is the only competition in which working professionals honor their peers for designing and creating movie marketing materials. The awards cover 29 categories, including posters, trailers, TV spots and standees as well as print, outdoor, Internet, home entertainment and co-branded advertising. Nominations will be announced Wednesday.
Corddry, on the big screen with Will Ferrell and Jon Heder in "Blades of Glory," appears in the upcoming comedies "The Pleasure of Your Company," starring Jason Biggs and Isla Fisher; "The Seven Day Itch," with Ben Stiller; and "The Ten," with Jessica Alba, Famke Janssen and Amanda Peet. Corddry recently starred in his own Fox series "The Winner" from writers-producers Seth MacFarlane and Ricky Blitt. He also was a senior correspondent for four years on "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart."
"Rob Corddry's unique personality and creative comedic style makes him the perfect host for this year's Key Art Awards," THR publisher John Kilcullen said. "The new animation and horror categories also will add another exciting element to the show."
This year, the awards committee received a record-breaking 1,452 submissions. More than 350 movie advertising and marketing professionals served as judges to view and rank the entries, submitted from the eligibility period of January-December 2006. Judging took place at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood.
The Key Art Awards show annually attracts more than 1,500 executives and creative professionals from all of the major studios and advertising agencies.
Sponsors of the event include the Los Angeles Times, Microsoft Digital Advertising Solutions, Crew Creative Advertising and Corbis.
Tickets go on sale Wednesday. Details: www.hollywoodreporter.com\keyart.
