'Daily Show' Nabs Robert Pattinson's First Interview Post-Kristen Stewart Cheating Fiasco
The actor, who is promoting his new film "Cosmopolis," will visit Jon Stewart's show Monday, followed by ABC's "Good Morning America" two days later.
Robert Pattinson is starting his TV media blitz for Cosmopolis a couple days earlier than expected.
The actor will appear as a guest on Comedy Central's The Daily Show on Monday, the same day as the movie's New York premiere, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. It will mark his first televised appearance since girlfriend Kristen Stewart's shocking cheating confession.

"Robert Pattinson is confirmed to appear as a guest on The Daily Show this Monday, Aug. 13, to promote his new movie," a rep for the show told THR in a statement.
News of his sitdown with host Jon Stewart, first reported by HollywoodLife.com, comes a day after it was revealed that Pattinson will give a live TV interview on ABC's Good Morning America on Aug. 15, which had originally been hyped as his first televised appearance since news of the cheating scandal broke.
This will mark his second appearance on The Daily Show; he first sat down in the guests' chair March 2, 2010, to promote his movie Remember Me.
He also is scheduled to speak with reporters the day after the premiere.

The British actor has kept a low profile ever since Stewart, his Twilight co-star, admitted July 25 to having an affair with herSnow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders. Pattinson has yet to address the scandal publicly.
A rep for Pattinson previously told The Hollywood Reporter, "Cosmopolis is a film that Robert is very proud of and looks forward to supporting. No confirmed engagements have been canceled. Any reports to the contrary are inaccurate."
Stewart's confession, meanwhile, came after Us Weekly ran photos of Stewart and Sanders in compromising positions.
"This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry," Stewart said in a statement.
