Robert Pattinson Media Tour to Continue Despite Cheating Scandal
The actor is still committed to several public appearances to promote his new film "Cosmopolis."
Robert Pattinson will soon come out of hiding.
The actor, who has been keeping a low profile since girlfriend Kristen Stewart publicly admitted to having an affair with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, is reportedly still committed to a slew of promotional appearances in the coming weeks to support his forthcoming film, Cosmopolis.

“Cosmopolis is a film that Robert is very proud of and looks forward to supporting,” his rep said in a statement. “No confirmed engagements have been canceled. Any reports to the contrary are inaccurate.”
Speculation had swirled regarding whether Pattinson would address the media following Stewart’s gushing apology. The Twilight actor reportedly moved out of the $6 million home that the couple shared in Los Feliz and took up a temporary residency at pal and Water For Elephants co-star Reese Witherspoon’s Ojai vacation home. Pattinson is also said to have spent some time in his native England in recent weeks.
Pattinson is next scheduled to appear at Cosmopolis’ New York premiere on Aug. 13, and is also slated to speak with reporters the following day. Pattinson is also still “on track” for an appearance on The New York Times’ TimesTalk series on Aug. 14, a rep for the paper told E! News.

It is not yet clear whether Pattinson’s upcoming appearances will also include the talk show circuit.
Speculation has also surrounded the looming media blitz for Summit’s final installment of The Twilight Saga, with Breaking Dawn – Part 2 scheduled for a Nov. 23 release. Pattinson and Stewart met while filming the series’ first film and are both expected to continue promoting the series.
The duo last appeared on a Comic-Con panel together, along with director Bill Condon and co-star Taylor Lautner on July 19.
Cosmopolis is directed by David Cronenberg and co-stars Juliette Binoche. It premiered at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year.
