Robert Simonds' Next Generation Studio Announces Two More Hires
Rich Sullivan joins as chief financial officer, and Philip Goore will serve as executive vp business and legal affairs
Robert Simonds’ new film and television studio announced two new hires Thursday, adding Rich Sullivan as chief financial officer and Philip Goore as executive vp business and legal affairs for the motion picture group.
Sullivan most recently worked as deputy chief financial officer for Dreamworks Animation SKG. He previously served as vp investor relations for AT&T Corp, playing a role on AT&T's mergers and acquisitions team and in AT&T's Business Services and Solutions organization. Prior to joining AT&T, Sullivan worked for Deutsche Bank Securities as a member of its mergers and acquisitions investment banking group.
Goore, who will oversee business affairs and the legal department for the studio's Motion Picture Group, has previously served in senior business affairs roles at Universal, New Line Cinema and Dreamworks Pictures, where he counseled the studio as senior vp business affairs for the past 8 years.
"As we continue to build our team, Rich and Phil add essential strength to our company," said Simonds in a statement. "Both are enormously well respected for their business leadership, experience and acumen and we couldn't have recruited two executives better suited for their jobs. We look forward to their excellent counsel, guidance and governance and welcome them both to our team."
Since announcing his new venture in March, Simonds has brought on a slew of veteran executives, including Adam Fogelson, who is joining the company as chairman of the Motion Picture Group, and Oren Aviv, president and chief content officer of the Motion Picture Group. The studio aims to produce as many as 10 star-driven films a year, with budgets between $20 to $60 million.
