Rogen walks beat for 'Observe'

Seth Rogen is readying his walkie-talkie for "Observe and Report," a comedy Jody Hill is directing for Warner Bros. Donald De Line is producing.

Written by Hill, "Report" revolves around Ronnie Barnhardt (Rogen), a deluded, self-important head of mall security who squares off in a turf war against the local cops.

Warners' Matt Reilly is overseeing.

De Line Pictures' Andrew Haas is executive producing along with Marty Ewing.

Legendary Pictures is co-producing the film with Warners.

Hill, repped by CAA, is the writer-director of "The Foot Fist Way," a Paramount Vantage comedy that debuted at Sundance 2006 that is set to bow in the spring.

Rogen, repped by UTA and Principal Entertainment, next stars in "Pineapple Express," which he co-wrote. He is shooting Kevin Smith's "Zack and Miri Make a Porno."
