Romeo Reflects on 'Dancing' Journey
"We went out with a bang. I put everything on the table. I was really shaking my hips," he says.
Romeo says he gave Dancing With the Stars his all -- even though he was voted off Tuesday.
"I was taught to never hold your head down if u go down fighting giving 100% & thats what I did! This #DWTS journey has def. been magical," the rapper posted on Twitter early Wednesday morning.
He says his dad, rapper and former contestant Master P (who stepped in for his son on season 2 after Romeo sustained a basketball injury), had a feeling he would be eliminated.
"My dad called me at 6 a.m. this morning," Romeo told reporters Tuesday. "He gave me a speech and said how proud he was of me, no matter what the outcome."
"I was like, 'Dad! Dang! Do you know I'm going home or something?'" he went on. "He just knew."
But he says his dad was still supportive.
"He said I was a winner. No one expected me to come this far. And he was right," Romeo added. "We went out with a bang. I put everything on the table. I was really shaking my hips."
He and partner Chelsie Hightower were in fourth place out of five after Monday night's episode. (Judges' scores from the Monday shows are combined with viewer votes to determine who gets sent home.)
Still competing: Chelsea Kane, Monday night's top scorer; Hines Ward; Kirstie Alley; and Ralph Macchio, who had the lowest scores going into Tuesday night's episode.
