Ron Jeremy's Rum Pulled From Canadian Store Shelves
The porn king's 80-proof hooch apparently went down badly with a retail customer, leading to the product withdrawal and return.
TORONTO – Porn legend Ron Jeremy's personal line of rum, Ron de Jeremy, has caused quite a fizz in Manitoba liquor stores.
The Manitoba Liquor Control Commission on Wednesday ordered 60 cases of the premium rum off the shelves at Liquor Marts province-wide after an apparent customer complaint.
Then Thursday morning, the provincial agency called for the 80-proof hooch from Panama to be put back on the shelf after no apparent offense was revealed by the porn-star branded booze, according to the Metro newspaper in Winnipeg.
The Canadian retail fracas follows Jeremy recovering from a recent heart aneurysm.
The distributor of Ron de Jeremy, One Eyed Spirits, first started selling the premium run in Manitoba in January.
