"I have to hang up my dancing shoes for a little bit," this season's winner posted on Instagram Wednesday.

Someone might want to tell Rumer Willis that the phrase "break a leg" is just a figure of speech.

Willis, 26, who nabbed the Mirrorball Trophy last month as the winner of Dancing With the Stars' season 20, posted an Instagram photo Wednesday showing her injured right foot and explained that she would need to refrain from performing her fancy footwork on the show's live tour.

"I have to hang up my dancing shoes for a little bit because of a few stress fractures in my foot, but it's not gonna stop me from singing for you guys on the #DWTSlivetour," Willis captioned the shot.

Dancing With the Stars has confirmed in a statement that Willis indeed will be unable to perform as part of the ABC reality competition's live national tour due to stress fractures in her foot, although it is not yet clear if she will return to the dance floor before the end of the run. The tour began June 13 and wraps up Aug. 11.

"While it remains unclear at this time if Rumer will be able to dance for the remainder of the tour," said a rep for the show, "she is still having fun with her dancing family and will continue to be on the road with the tour. She is hanging up her dancing shoes (for now), but Rumer is still a huge part of the tour and will be singing in various numbers throughout the 90-minute show."

Willis appeared to be enjoying herself at the live gigs thus far. In an Instagram post from a few days prior to her injury announcement, she wrote: "I have had such an amazing time on the #DWTSlivetour so far...I am so grateful to be able to keep dancing not only for myself but for all of you guys."
