Rupert Murdoch Sells West Village Townhouse for $27.5 Million
The townhouse's interior is appointment in black and white.
It's back to work for Rupert Murdoch, which means less time to enjoy luxury real estate.
The 21st Century Fox mogul and interim CEO of the Fox News Channel, who took up the position after sexual harassment allegations sent FNC founder Roger Ailes packing, sold his tawny townhouse this week in New York's fashionable West Village, a rep for the mogul confirmed.
The price tag was $27.5 million, a million-and-a-half less the asking price, but still more than the $25 million he reportedly paid for the property just last year.
West 11th Street LLC bought the orange brick-clad residence, where Murdoch reportedly didn't spend much time. The townhouse's interior is appointment in black and white.
The media mogul's three-story penthouse in a brand-new building in the Flatiron District is still on the market for $72 million.
The Observer earlier reported the sale.
