Rush Announces 'Clockwork Angels' Tour
The veteran trio will visit more than 30 cities in North America in support of its first studio album in five years.
Rush’s new single “Headlong Flight” was released to radio Thursday, so why not announce a concert tour the same day?
The venerable Canadian trio will support Clockwork Angels, its first studio album in five years, with a three-month late-summer/fall trek around North America. The 33-date Live Nation tour kicks off Sept. 7 in Manchester, N.H., and rolls through Dec. 2 in Houston.
As has been custom for the band’s past several concert jaunts, the Clockwork Angels Tour is billed as “An evening with Rush,” meaning no opening act. Most of the announced dates are arenas, with a handful of sheds sprinkled in, including the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City. The first tickets go on sale April 27 and 28 via Ticketmaster and Live Nation's websites.
The new album hits stores June 12. Rush previewed two of its tracks, "Caravan" and "BU2B" on its recent two-leg Time Machine Tour.
