Attention, all drummers -- and air drummers -- who have flailed away trying to keep up with Neil Peart for the past 35 years: A sneak peek of his new instructional video has hit the web.

The trailer for the Rush mainstay’s third instructional video, Taking Center Stage: A Lifetime of Live Performance (due Oct. 14), says the DVD will be “the most complete overview ever documented of Neil’s approach to live performance and Rush’s music.”

The 2002 Rush song “Ghost Rider” plays over the trailer, which features a sped-up look at Peart’s huge, intricate drum kit being set up and shots of him practicing and being interviewed before a concert.

Among the highlights of Taking Center Stage are a full Rush concert shot from the drum cameras only -- a first on DVD, according to the trailer -- and an hourlong discussion of the new Rush track “Caravan,” performed nightly on the band’s recent Time Machine tour.

Peart, who turned 59 on Sept. 12, has released two other instructional videos: 1996’s A Work in Progress and 2005’s Anatomy of a Drum Solo.
