Russell Schwartz Exits Relativity EuropaCorp Distribution in Marketing Shakeup
His departure as president of theatrical marketing follows box office disappointment for 'The Best of Me'
Russell Schwartz has left Relativity EuropaCorp Distribution as president of theatrical marketing.
"We appreciate all of Russell’s contributions to the studio and wish him well as he pursues new opportunities," a Relativity Media spokesperson told The Hollywood Reporter on Tuesday.
Schwartz, the former head of marketing for New Line Cinema, stepped into the Relativity Media position last year as part of a marketing shakeup that saw Terry Curtin leave.
The studio declined to provide reasons for Schwartz's exit, but it follows poor box office for Relativity releases The Best of Me and Beyond the Lights.
Schwartz oversaw all aspects of marketing for Relativity's film slate.
