Furious 7 has set another box-office record in Russia, crossing the 1 billion rubles ($20 million) mark in six days, faster than any release in history.
Previously, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides held the record for hitting the billion-ruble mark in the shortest time, or seven days.
Furious 7, which was released in Russia on April 9, had already set all-time records for an opening weekend and opening day and is heading towards becoming one of the year's top grossing releases, according to experts' forecasts.
This coming weekend, the movie is likely to gross at least another 300 million rubles ($6 million), according to Exhibitor's Bulletin.
Incidentally, two other movies that have hit the billion-ruble mark this year, Fifty Shades of Grey and Seventh Son, were also released by Universal.
