Russia Box Office: 'The Good Dinosaur' Debuts On Top
'Spectre' stayed on the top 5 for a fourth week in a row.
The Good Dinosaur took the top spot at the Russian box office this past weekend, followed by The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2.
The Pixar cartoon grossed 144.2 million rubles ($2.1 million), according to data from the company Movie Research.
The last installment of the Hunger Games franchise, which was the previous weekend's champion, slipped to second place. It raked in $2 million in its second week in theaters.
Victor Frankenstein debuted in third place, grossing $1.8 million.
Meanwhile, the latest James Bond movie, Spectre, celebrated a fourth week in the top five, slipping two positions to fourth place. The pic grossed another $367,000, falling short of reaching the year's top 10 highest-grossing movies.
The Visit bowed in fifth place. M. Night Shyamalan's new movie took in $324,000 and is likely to become the director's lowest-grossing film in Russia in 15 years.
