Kremlin spokesman called Bill O’Reilly's comments "unacceptable and offensive."

The Kremlin has demanded an apology for the comment made by Fox News' Bill O’Reilly, who called Russian President Vladimir Putin "a killer" in a taped interview with President Donald Trump that aired Sunday ahead of the Super Bowl.

"We consider comments of that kind made by Fox News' journalist unacceptable and offensive," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov was quoted as saying by Russian state-run news agency RIA Novosti.

"And, frankly, we would like to receive an apology addressed to the president from such a respected network," he added.

During the interview, after Trump said that it is better to get along with Russia, O'Reilly pushed, "He’s a killer though, Putin’s a killer."

"There are a lot of killers," Trump replied. "What do you think, our country is so innocent?”
