NEW YORK -- The Film Society of Lincoln Center is celebrating the 100-year anniversary of Russian cinema with "Envisioning Russia: A Century of Filmmaking." Coinciding with the Russian Ministry of Culture's own commemoration, the three-week series will screen many films from top Soviet studio Mosfilm, including classics from Sergei Eisenstein and Andrei Tarkovsky, musicals and "Easterns." Four new features and filmmaker appearances will also be part of the showcase, held Jan. 25 – Feb. 14 at New York's Walter Reade Theater.
