Ryan Gosling felt real love shooting 'Valentine'
VIDEO: Actor says film 'truthful' about relationshipsBlue Valentine -- Film Review
Ryan Gosling felt real love while shooting his indie drama "Blue Valentine," which he brought to the Toronto Film Festival last week.
The 30-year-old actor said the film "felt truthful about love" and its pratfalls because it asks "a question that doesn't have a lot of answers" -- why love ends.
"Valentine" tracks the relationship of Dean (Gosling) and Cindy (Michelle Williams), two lovers who go from giddy to grouchy over the course of several years.
According to director Derek Cianfrance, Gosling and Williams had "some real things happening in that film."
The pair appear together on the October cover of W magazine. In the glossy, Williams describes her sex scenes with Gosling as "toxic" and said, "We never rehearsed anything, and those were really dark days. Ryan and I had stopped relating to each other as Ryan and Michelle."
