Ryan Reynolds to Star in Atom Egoyan's Thriller 'Queen of the Night'

The Canadian film will shoot in southern Ontario in February 2013.

TORONTO -- Ryan Reynolds has joined Queen of the Night, the kidnap thriller from Canadian director Atom Egoyan to shoot in February.

Based on a screenplay by Egoyan and David Fraser, the feature from Ego Film Arts and The Film Farm will see Reynolds play the father of an abducted child.

Queen of the Night is produced by Egoyan, Simone Urdl, Jennifer Weiss and Stephen Traynor.

The film will be distributed in Canada by Entertainment One, which also will handle international sales.

In France, ARP Selection will distribute the Canadian indie.
