"Too late for a write-in campaign for an ineligible movie?"

Ryan Reynolds wants a gold statuette to go along with his red outfit.

The Deadpool star tweeted Tuesday that it might not be too late for his blockbuster antihero film to get an Academy Award.

"Only a few hours left for Oscar voting. Too late for a write-in campaign for an ineligible movie?" he tweeted.

The picturesque post included a list of categories in which the pic could take home some hardware, including a great nod to one of the most disturbing moments in the film, the baby hand.

The ultra-violent, super-raunchy film based on the popular sword-wielding, smart-mouthed Marvel character has been a box-office juggernaut since being released on Feb. 12.

As of Sunday, Deadpool has earned $491.7 million globally and is on its way to becoming the highest-grossing R-rated film ever.
