"I do not want my daughter to be a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader."

Ryan Reynolds is new to fatherhood, but he's already thinking hard about the kind of future he wants for his  pint-sized daughter.

The Woman in Gold star and wife, Blake Lively, welcomed daughter James in December 2014, and have been mindful of protecting the infant from the media.

In an interview with Willie Geist that aired Wednesday on NBC's Today, Reynolds confirmed his daughter's name and said he worries about her wanting to pursue a career like his or Lively's.

"I worry that my daughter's going to want to go into show business," Reynolds said. "You worry about really stupid stuff."

He went on to say that he drops career hints in his daughter's ear — literally. "I like to whisper in her ear really normal, everyday jobs: 'You're going to be a flight attendant. A barista,' " Reynolds said. "Just normal, wonderful jobs. You can have a nice, normal life."

Aside from showbiz in a general sense, Reynolds also has more particular concerns: "I do not want my daughter to be a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, although I imagine it's an exciting job."
