Ryan Seacrest Responds to Meghan McCain in Obama Feud
McCain criticized the president and radio host over their election-day interview.
Ryan Seacrest has fired back at Meghan McCain over their feud involving President Obama's recent decision to do an interview on Seacrest's Los Angeles-based radio show.
Obama taped an interview for Seacrest's show On Air With Ryan Seacrest on Monday that aired Tuesday, the day of the elections. On Monday afternoon, the daughter of former Presidential candidate Sen. John McCain took to Twitter to vent her opinion about the interview, criticizing both Obama and Seacrest.
"there is something so unbelievably desperate and sad about the president going on Ryan Seacrest -exactly WHO is on his communications staff?" she tweeted.
Eight minutes later, she added: "No disrespect to Ryan Seacrest but I just don't think The President should be doing an interview with the producer of The Kardahsians (sic)."
McCain also voiced her opinion on Wednesday's The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.
"I just think it's not too Presidential to do an interview with the producer of the Kardashians," she said. "I'm one of the people that still holds the office of the Presidency very seriously and I think it's kind of trashy."
The next day, Seacrest responded to McCain's remarks, saying she had appeared on his radio show twice, at her own request.
"She thinks [On Air With Ryan Seacrest] is just lowbrow," said Ryan on his show. "I just want to be clear, it is the lowbrow show she wanted to be on twice to come promote her stuff."
