NEW DELHI -- The Sahara One Network will launch a new channel February 25, with an all Hindi-dubbed, foreign programming.

"Firangi" (Hindi for Foreigner) is considered a first here. It will feature dubbed versions of shows such as French mystery thriller series "Domen," Argentinian telenovella "Lalola," Brazilian immigration drama "America" and Colombia’s “Second Chance."

While world cinema channels have been launched here before, "[Firangi] has taken a pioneering step in providing Indian audiences the opportunity to watch the world's best programming in Hindi, a first for any network in India," said Sahara One Network head Sahara One Network head Seemanto Roy.

The channel also plans to show world movies during weekends.
