Investment-banking veteran Sean Walker has joined Los Angeles-based Salem Partners as a managing director.

Founded in 1997, Salem specializes in mergers and acquisitions and capital-raising for entertainment clients and others. Walker was a director at Costa Mesa, Calif.-based McGladrey Capital Markets.

"Sean expands the firm's industrial knowledge base and adds a network of relationships that will undoubtedly complement our practice," Salem co-founder Stephen Prough said.

Salem co-founder John Dyett touted Walker's "proven ability to get deals across the finish line." (partialdiff)
