'Samba' to Close San Sebastian
The French film will have its European premiere at the Spanish festival
Samba, by Olivier Nakache and Eric Toledano, will have its European premiere as the closing film at the San Sebastian International Film Festival on Sept 27, organizers announced on Friday.
The much-anticipated follow-up by the directors of Untouchable again stars Omar Sy as a Senagalese immigrant in France trying to get his papers who meets a burned-out executive hoping to get her life back in order.
The French film, which will screen at Toronto, is a Quad and Gaumont co-production scheduled for release in France on October 15, while A Contracorriente plans to release it in Spain this winter.
San Sebastian runs Sept. 19-27 in Spain's Basque region.
