Saoirse Ronan to Star in 'On Chesil Beach' From 'Carol' Producers
The film is based on Ian McEwan's 2007 novel.
Saoirse Ronan is moving from 1950s Brooklyn to 1960s England for her next staring role in On Chesil Beach.
The Atonement actress will star in the film, based on Ian McEwan's 2007 novel, that follows two lovers and how their unexpressed sentiments shape their adult lives.
Dominic Cooke will direct the project, which is being produced by Number 9 Films' Elizabeth Karlsen and Stephen Woolley, the team behind Carol.
The Oscar hopeful is currently starring in a production of Arthur Miller's The Crucible on Broadway, and was the star in Greta Gerwig's directorial debut, Lady Bird.
Ronan is repped by CAA and Macfarlane Chard.
