Sarah Eaton Named Director of Media Relations at the Sundance Institute
She previously served as senior vp of communications for the Sundance Channel.
Sarah Eaton has been named director of media relations at the Sundance Institute. Stepping into the job Nov. 14, she will oversee media relations for all of the Institute’s programs, including the Sundance Film Festival, and will report to director of external relations Jennifer Arceneaux.
Eaton has served as senior vp of communications for the Sundance Channel from 1999 to 2011. There, she created and managed the network’s communications strategy and media and public relations.
Since spring of this year, she has been a freelance public relations consultant, handling both films and such organizations as the New York Film Festival, Cinema Arts Festival Houston and the Provincetown International Film Festival.
Prior to joining the Sundance Channel, Eaton was vp of public relations for October Films, and before that, executive director of field publicity for Fine Line Features.
At the Sundance Institute, Eaton will oversee day-to-day operations of the Institute’s media relations department, including Los Angeles-based media relations manager Casey De La Rosa and Park City, Utah-based media relations manager Elizabeth Latenser.
