Sarah Jessica Parker to David Letterman: You're "the Most Distinguished Man in Late Night" (Video)
The actress also accidentally gave her kid a "sex talk" at 2 years old: "At that time, I told him that he had one seed, and there was a young woman named Mary that he'd meet in sophomore year of college."
Sarah Jessica Parker stopped by during Monday night's episode of Late Show with David Letterman and paid tribute to the departing host.
"For all the men and women who could not be here in person," she told him, "and stare at you and perhaps tell you about yourself and what you've meant to us — and I want you to take it like a man. I want you to sit here, because I know your instinct is: You don't want to hear it. You don't want to hear anything nice. ... But also, I figured, I have nothing to lose because you can't not ask me back!"
She continued: "You've made us all so happy. You've been thoughtful and funny and challenging and terrifying, and despite your best efforts, probably the most distinguished man in late night. ... It really is the end of an era."

While on the show, the actress also recalled how she accidentally gave her kid a "sex talk" at 2 years old.
"At that time, I told him that he had one seed, and there was a young woman named Mary that he'd meet in sophomore year of college and that she was going to be very smart and lovely, came from a nice family, and he would choose Mary to give his seed to," she told Letterman.
It turned out that her son actually was asking where his blanket, which he called his "baby," came from. And he got the actual "sex talk" from a neighboring peer — much later in life, of course.
