Scenechronize Management System Closes $5 Million in Financing
Director David Semel joins the board of directors, calling it "the future of production."
The web-based production management system "scenechronize" has closed a $5 million series B financing led by 3 private investors. In addition, TV director David Semel (No Ordinary Life, House M.D.) has joined the company’s board of directors.
Scenechronize takes the massive amount of communication necessary as part of a typical production and automates much of it digitally. This includes the distribution of scripts, information workflows, call sheets, location maps and more.
Mission: Impossible 4, Battle: L.A., Larry Crowne, Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead all currently use scenechronize, as do many of the major
studios and networks.
"Scenechronize is the future of production,” said Semel, who is currently directing the Bad Robot pilot Person of Interest for CBS. “When all of a production’s information is digitized and available for review and collaboration no matter where you are, the creative process has been permanently altered, and vastly improved."
Sceneschronize is also opening a new office in Burbank to complement its current office in San Francisco.
“We are thrilled with the vote of confidence that this financing and board appointments provide,” said CEO Hunter Hancock, “and we look forward to
further establishing scenechronize as the production management tool of choice for all of Hollywood.”
