Schulz replaces Christmann at ProSieben

Named head of ad sales, marketing

COLOGNE, Germany -- In the latest executive shuffle at Pan-European broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1, Klaus-Peter Schulz has been named head of sales and marketing, replacing Peter Christmann, who resigned last month.

Schultz is no stranger to the company. From 1996-2000 he ran marketing operations, first with flagship channel Sat.1, later for the entire group.

In the interim, Schlutz has headed up two of Germany's most prominent ad agencies: OMD Germany and the Germany operations of the BBDO Group.

He will have his work cut out for him. Christmann resigned after introducing a new ad booking structure that failed to catch on with clients. As a result, ProSiebenSat.1 booked a 58 million euro ($91 million) loss in the first quarter.
