Sci Fi scares up more 'Ghost Hunters'
EmptySci Fi Channel has ordered more episodes of "Ghost Hunters" and "Destination Truth."
The network has extended the current seasons of both reality series with new episodes that will premiere this year. "Hunters," currently airing at 9 p.m. Wednesdays, has been picked up for 13 more episodes as part of its fourth season, and "Truth" will return in the fall with seven episodes as part of its second season.
"Hunters" is one of Sci Fi's most-watched shows. The April 9 episode featuring a special investigation at a U.S. Air Force base drew 1.8 million adults 24-54, a record for a Sci Fi original reality series. It's produced in association with Craig Piligian's Pilgrim Films and Television. Piligian exec produces with Thomas Thayer, Rob Katz and Alan David.
Sci Fi said "Truth" brought 1 million new viewers to the network during its six-week first season run last summer and scored double-digit gains this year with the first six episodes of Season 2. It is exec produced by Brad Kuhlman and Casey Brumels of Ping Pong Prods.
