TORONTO -- Canadian cable sports broadcaster Score Media said Monday that it will provide exclusive Saturday coverage of English Premier League soccer games beginning Aug. 12 as part of a three-year sub-licensing deal with Fox Sports International.

Toronto-based Score will air the Barclays Premier League games on the Score, its headline sports channel. Previously, Saturday morning British soccer games aired on Rogers Sportsnet, a rival cable sports network.

Score Media will sub-license the games from Fox, which previously grabbed the North American TV rights to Premier League games in the U.S. market through the 2009-10 seasons.

To accompany the live soccer telecasts, Score also is planning a new show, "The Footy Show," hosted by James Sharman and recapping international soccer news and scores.
