Sean O'Boyle upped at NBC Uni

Becomes executive vp and general sales manager

Sean O'Boyle has been upped to executive vp and general sales manager at NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution, where he oversees all domestic broadcast sales efforts for first-run and off-network syndicated programs as well as the division's five regional sales offices.

O'Boyle, who has been with NBC Universal since 2000, was senior vp and national syndication sales manager for the division and has played a key role in the local broadcast sales of series including the recent first-run launch of "Deal or No Deal" as well as "Access Hollywood," "The Martha Stewart Show," "The Jerry Springer Show," "Maury" and "The Steve Wilkos Show." O'Boyle also was instrumental in the off-network sales of "The Office," "Law & Order: SVU," "House" and "Monk," among others.

"Sean has done a tremendous job leading our national broadcast sales force for the last 4 1/2 years, and he has played an instrumental role in a number of our recent first-run and off-network launches," said division president Barry Wallach, to whom O'Boyle will continue to report.
