Seville International Nabs Sales Rights to Denys Arcand's 'An Eye for Beauty'
The newly launched Canadian distributor will start shopping the latest film from the Oscar-winning director in Cannes.
TORONTO – Indie distributor Seville International has acquired the international sales rights to the upcoming feature An Eye for Beauty by Canadian writer-director Denys Arcand.
Montreal-based Seville, an indie sales arm aligned with Entertainment One, will launch the Oscar-winning director's latest film, produced by Denise Robert of Cinémaginaire, at Cannes.
An Eye for Beauty stars Eric Bruneau, Melanie Thierry, Melanie Merkosky and Marie‐Josee Croze, and tells the story of a young architect with remarkable talent and a trophy wife. But when he becomes a member of an architectural jury in Toronto, he meets a mysterious woman who turns his life upside down.
"Denys Arcand is renowned worldwide for his talent, and I am thrilled to have him as part of the Seville International family,” said Anick Poirier, vp international sales at Seville International, in a statement Tuesday.
