ShoWest laughs with Rogen
Empty"Knocked Up" star Seth Rogen has been named ShoWest Comedy Star of the Year.
Rogen, who next stars in Columbia's "Pineapple Express," set for Aug. 8, also co-wrote and exec produced the summer hit "Superbad."
"In the world of comedy, Seth Rogen has pulled off an incredible hat trick -- not only is he an incredibly funny and talented comedic actor, but his ability to write comedy and put it all together onscreen as a producer is incomparable," said Mitch Neuhauser, co-managing director of ShoWest, which runs Monday-Thursday in Las Vegas.
Rogen will receive the honor at the convention's closing-night ceremony at the Paris Hotel.
The actor's upcoming films also include "Zack and Miri Make a Porno," "The Green Hornet" and "Horton Hears a Who!"
ShoWest is produced by the Entertainment Group at Nielsen Business Media, parent company of The Hollywood Reporter.
