Showtime beefing up pair of pilots
EmptyPeter Facinelli and Beth Riesgraf have been cast in Showtime's drama pilot "Insatiable," while Paul Hipp has landed a lead role in another Showtime pilot, "Manchild."
"Insatiable," said to be in the tone of "Twin Peaks," is set in a small town in which everyone has some sort of addiction.
Facinelli and Riesgraf will play a husband and wife, both named Sandy, who run the local skating rink. He is a handsome jock, a former pairs ice skater, now confined to a wheelchair who continues to be active in sports and constantly cheats on his wife. She is a former professional ice skater and a recovering alcoholic who is oblivious to her husband's philandering.
Facinelli's series credits include Fox's "Fastlane" and HBO's "Six Feet Under." He recently starred in A&E's telefilm "Touch the Top of the World" and the indie "The Lather Effect."
He is repped by Paradigm and manager Randy James.
Riesgraf co-starred on MTV's "Undressed."
"Manchild," from Sony Pictures TV and Darren Star Prods., revolves around four male friends who are rapidly approaching 50 and knee-deep in midlife crises.
Hipp will play a married father of two who works at a hip ad agency.
His credits include NBC's "Three Sisters" and HBO's "Carnivale."
