'Silence' Producer Emma Tillinger Koskoff Is Martin Scorsese's Right Hand | Producer Oscar Roundtable
"[Scorsese] really listened, and I just tried to keep him focused. Problem-solving left and right, keeping Marty safe and not distracted by having to reshoot and making the day."
"What I bring to [Scorsese] is, he has a very exacting nature in terms of his preparation to shoot," said Silence producer Emma Tilinger Koskoff during THR's Producer Roundtable. "It was just giving him the time and tranquility and safety to execute what he needed to and wanted to when we were shooting. What I was able to do what sort of keep the calm."
"We'll fix it in post," became the producer's mantra while trying to get Silence made. "It was wildly challenging every day."
