Singapore's Bomanbridge Taps Asian Expansion Drive
The production and distribution outfit is opening offices in South Korea and Mongolia
The Singapore-based international distribution agency and production company Bomanbridge Media is expanding its operations in Asia, with offices in Seoul and Ulan Bator, as well as investment from fund manager Hera Capital and new hires.
Bomanbridge is also planning its first original series in the first quarter of 2015, said Sonia Fleck, CEO of Bomanbridge Media.
“We have been working toward this moment of expansion for five years, steadily gaining the trust and respect of our broadcast and production partners who count on us to know what really works in the region," she said. "In addition to opening our new offices in Seoul and Ulan Bator, we are also excited to launch our first original series, first quarter 2015. Bomanbridge is ready for this next step with our exceptional team of media professionals and a dynamic partnership with Hera Capital."
The Singapore-based Hera Capital, which focuses on investment in South East Asia, will fund the production.

The Seoul office opened recently, and the Ulan Bator office will open in the fall.
“Mongolia is an emerging country and we see huge potential for new programming imports, as well as production training and technology upgrades," said Fleck.
The Korean office will be headed by Gyeong-Min Moon, formerly a senior acquisition manager for TCAST, a JV with FOX Korea.
Another new hire in Singapore is former Fremantle Asia executive, Lakshmanan Subbiah, as finance and operations director. And the company has retained the New York-based international entertainment PR firm, MJ Global Communications LLC, for media representation and communications strategy.
